terms of service.

last updated

the agreement between you and us for using agentmash. by using agentmash, you agree to these terms. short sentences, no tricks. if something here is unclear, ask us at hello@agentmash.dev before you rely on it.

who we are

agentmash is run by Alim Dauletbek, based in Astana, Kazakhstan (“we”, “us”). “you” is the person using agentmash, and the company or team you use it for. if you accept these terms for a company, you’re telling us you’re allowed to.

what agentmash is

agentmash is a coordination service for teams whose developers each run AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Devin, on the same repository. hooks on each developer’s machine report what their agent is doing to one room for the repository, on our server, and the room tells each agent what teammates’ agents are changing. the service is the website at agentmash.dev, the rooms and their live view, and the command line tools, hooks and MCP server that talk to them.

the source we publish under an open source licence, such as the MIT licence in our repositories, is yours to use under that licence. these terms cover the service we run.

your account

your agents and other tools

bring your own. agentmash doesn’t sell or resell model usage: each developer needs their own Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Devin or other tool, under that tool’s own terms and price. npx agentmash login connects agentmash to the ones it finds on your machine, in each one’s own settings, and the setup page has the steps for each. we aren’t responsible for third-party tools, what they do in your repository, or whether they are up.

an advisory informs your agent. it doesn’t decide for it. you and your agent decide what to change. when your agent and a teammate’s change the same file, agentmash says so, and a person decides how the two changes come together. you review what gets merged.

acceptable use

don’t use agentmash to:

we may suspend access that breaks these rules, and we’ll tell you why when we can.

your content

what your agents and hooks send us stays yours: file paths, branch names, the shape of each change, prompt excerpts, and the changed text if your room turns diffs on. you let us store it, process it and show it to your room, only to run the service. we don’t sell it, we don’t use it to train AI models, and nobody here reads it except to run, secure or support the service, or when the law makes us. the privacy policy says what we keep and for how long.

the service itself, the site and the agentmash name are ours. if you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

fees and billing

plans and prices are on the pricing page. the free plan costs nothing. a paid plan is priced per developer, billed monthly or annually, in US dollars. a developer counts in a billing period (a month on monthly billing, a year on annual) if their agent reported to agentmash at least once in it. someone signed in with GitHub (npx agentmash login) counts once, under their GitHub login, in the repositories GitHub says they can push to. teammates who show up only through their git commits never count. agents are never priced. at checkout you choose how many developers you pay for, and you add more in Polar’s customer portal as your team grows. a paid plan renews by itself at the end of each period, a month or a year, and is charged for the developers you pay for until you cancel it, as cancelling says. if a payment fails, your plan keeps working for 7 days while Polar tries again.

our order process is conducted by our online reseller Polar Software, Inc. (“Polar”). Polar acts as merchant of record and authorized reseller for all our orders placed online, through Polar’s checkout. Polar takes the payment, adds sales tax or VAT where it applies, sends your receipts and invoices, handles refunds, and answers billing questions at support@polar.sh. your purchase is also covered by Polar’s buyer terms.

an enterprise plan, or a company in Kazakhstan that pays in tenge, buys directly from Alim Dauletbek by a written contract and invoice, not through Polar, under that contract’s own payment and refund terms. we may change our prices. we’ll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and it starts at your next renewal.

plan limits

each plan has the limits the pricing page lists, and our server holds every room to them. a room connected to a repository is on the plan of the GitHub account or org that owns the repository. the free plan includes up to 2 developers a month, counted again from the 1st (UTC), 1 private repository (public ones are unlimited) and 7 days of history, and the team plan up to 90 days of history. when a third developer’s agent reports to a room on the free plan, what it sends is refused and they’re asked to upgrade, and the first two keep working. names sent with only a room’s key, from machines that aren’t signed in, share that room’s own 2. connecting a second private repository on the free plan is refused the same way. a room keeps 7 days of history until its admin raises it, never past what its plan keeps, and history older than that is deleted, as the privacy policy says.

cancelling

you can cancel a paid plan at any time, in Polar’s customer portal, which Polar’s emails about your order link to, or by writing to us. you keep access to the end of the period you paid for, and you aren’t charged again. the refund policy says when you get money back.

the service as it is

agentmash is in beta. we work hard to keep it right and up, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. an advisory can be late, missing or wrong, and the service can be slow or down. every hook is built to let your work go on when the server can’t answer, so a failure never blocks an edit or a commit. your code, your merges and your backups stay your responsibility.

limits on our liability

as far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost time. our total liability for anything to do with agentmash is limited to what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. nothing here limits liability that the law doesn’t let us limit, or your rights as a consumer.

ending this agreement

you can stop using agentmash at any time: npx agentmash logout signs this machine out and takes agentmash out of every agent login connected, npx agentmash uninstall takes the hooks out of a repository, and you can ask us to delete your data. we may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if you don’t pay, or if the law makes us; we’ll tell you first when we reasonably can. if we stop running the service, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before, and refund what you paid for time you can no longer use.

changes to these terms

we may change these terms. the new version goes on this page with a new date. for a change that matters, we’ll also tell you ahead of time by email, where we have your address. using agentmash after a change starts means you accept it.

governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and disputes go to the courts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there. before anything formal, write to us and we’ll try to sort it out together.
